Amazon Dorm Room & College Must-Haves
Still scrambling to get a few last minute things for school? Here’s an Amazon wishlist you didn’t know you needed
Now that the semester is in full swing, you may have realized that there are a few things you didn’t know you would need until you got settled into your new life on campus. Here’s an Amazon list of items that can easily enhance your college experience.

Whether it’s a Twin XL in a dorm or the full-size bed in a suite, a mattress topper is a must for comfortable sleep! The mattresses provided are usually on the firmer side, so if you like a softer feel for your bed, this mattress topper is a necessity.

Getting a Brita was truly a game-changer for me when I went to college. I didn’t have a car on campus, and there was no way I was hauling a 24-pack of water back to my dorm. The Brita was easier and quicker whenever I wanted a glass of water—no spending money on a new case of water every few weeks. All I had to do was buy a new filter when the light turned red!

When it comes to hanging pictures and other décor items in your room, Command Strips are definitely the way to go. The application process is easy, and the takedown process is even easier. They also don’t strip the walls of any paint or leave residue.

Most of the closets in the dorms are very small and don’t allow much space for both your shoes and clothes. These storage containers that go under your bed are perfect for storing those extra clothes that won’t fit in the closet. You can also put sheets, blankets, and other things that may take up extra space.

Outlets in the dorm room are very limited. Having a power strip that was lengthy was a necessity, especially since I had multiple devices to charge every night. An added bonus is having a power strip with a flat plug so that it allows you to still push furniture flat against the outlet, without obstruction.

If you’re like me, then you get hot at night and have to sleep with a fan on. This desk fan is small and won’t be a hazard in the middle of your room.

Most dorm rooms don’t have a mirror included. Getting a mirror that hangs over your door is convenient and keeps you from taking up too much space.

The worst thing ever is forgetting to charge your devices the night before and showing up to class with dead technology. A portable charger is a huge lifesaver in and out of the classroom. With multiple built-in cables attached, you won’t even have to worry about needing a cord to plug in!

Even though dorm rooms are usually small, it’s still important to keep your space clean. A small handheld vacuum is great for picking up dust, crumbs, and other things you may not see in the corners of your room. With the vacuum being small and cordless, it’s way easier to store and keep out of sight.
Getting dorm room necessities doesn’t have to be expensive. These small Amazon finds prove that small investments can make a big difference.
